There are several times when you may need a home inspection.
Pre-purchase inspections
Most home buyers consider a home inspection a good investment, and make offers conditional on the home receiving a favorable inspection report. A Pre-Purchase Inspection will expose any construction defects or health and safety issues. Buying a relatively new home? We find many
of the problems normally associated with older homes can be present in new homes as well. Just because the home is new don’t assume it is safe and free of defects.
Pre-listing inspections
When selling your home. A Pre-Listing Inspection will give you a good assessment of the condition of your home. This gives homeowners time to make improvements prior to putting the home on the market. This will improve the value of the home, and practically eliminate a negative report by the buyer’s inspector. It also leaves less room for last minute negotiating because of the condition of the home.
Warranty Inspections
Year-end inspections under the Tarion New Homes Warranty. This is an inspection for owners of new homes to supplement the report required by the New Home Warranty Program.
